Assistant Accountant (Part Qualified)

Group Treasury – report and manage the cash position of the group.

• Prepare all bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and post ad hoc payments.
• Prepare the weekly vendor payment run in conjunction with the Accounts Payable Team
• Daily, weekly, and monthly cash analysis and reporting and accounts funded
• Weekly preparation of 13Week cash forecast
• Support in the preparation of the quarterly bank covenant calculations.
• Prepare interest accruals for the monthly management accounts.
• Prepare and submit the VAT returns for the group.

Support the preparation of Monthly management accounts within strict timelines.:

• Prepayments, accruals and overheads review for McQueen’s Dairies
• Prepare the overhead narrative for the Monthly Management Accounts
• Support the year end audit for McQueen’s Dairies Ltd

Payroll

• Support the Payroll Team during busy periods and be holiday cover.

Prepare the Payroll analysis and narrative for the Monthly Management Accounts

General

• Maintain the contracts register
• Complete all National Statistics and surveys for the group

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Previous experience working within a complex and challenging Finance function.
• An awareness of principles, practices, regulations, and procedures.
• Able to contribute positively to the overall direction of the financial reporting function.
• Working towards an accounting qualification
