The role
Reporting to the Apprentice Coach Manager, the role of the Apprentice Coach is to provide support for Apprentices, supporting their progress and wellbeing both face to face and remotely.
To conduct progress reviews, and devise coaching plans relevant to the individual to ensure that the Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours required are embedded.
To provide support for the individuals English and Math’s development and to carry out competence assessments for company and Awarding Body purposes as required.
This is a field based role to include working from home plus frequent travel across a North Western territory including Manchester, Warrington, Liverpool, Bolton, Oldham, Stockport and surrounding area. Therefore flexibility around travel and a full UK Cat B drivers licence are essential to your application.

Key accountabilities
- Undertakes coaching visit, assessments and learner reviews in a timely manner.
- Successfully supports English & math’s development.
- All assessments are in line with external Awarding Body.
- Ensures all learner reviews are high quality and contain SMART actions/targets.
- Understands the Quality Framework, systems, and Education Inspection Framework requirements.
- Ensures quality of delivery and high standards in line with Ofsted and other regulatory body’s requirements.
- Paperwork meets quality and auditable requirements.
- Accurately completing of ILP paperwork in line with quality processes.
- Understands and interprets accurately, Initial Assessment diagnostics and acts upon support requirements.
- Updates in a timely manner all recording systems following interaction/visits with Apprentices.
- Understanding the principles of Safeguarding/Health and Safety/ Equality and Diversity/ Prevent and British Values.
- Actively promotes Safeguarding/Health and Safety/ Equality and Diversity and British Values with Apprentices
Skills & experience
- Automotive/Mechanical experience essential for this role
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, communication and networking skills.
- Advanced project, resource management and analytical skills.
- Excellent planning and prioritising skills, being able to manage effectively all allocated learners and liaise with their associated stakeholders.
- Good numeracy & literacy skills.
- An ability to work with learners who are at risk in order to re-engage them with their apprenticeship and retain them on the Programme.
- Maintains exceptionally high standards of conduct, performance, integrity and confidentiality.
- Highly organised and able to deal with multiple activities at one time whilst maintaining quality of delivery.
- Ability to act as a role model, provide leadership and motivation to young people.
- Ability to deliver relevant aspects of delivery/improvement plans and achieve performance targets.
- An enthusiastic, flexible and proactive approach to work and an ability to regularly travel throughout the UK.
- An understanding of and commitment to Equal Opportunity Policies, and the ability to promote this in the day to day work of the post.
- Understanding of learning styles and interventions to support individual learner
- Positive driven and resilient.
