Location: Lyndhurst

Salary- £11.50 per hour

The Role:

  • To support individuals to meet their goals and outcomes in health, wellbeing and independence.
  • Assist individuals with their personal, social and healthcare needs as required whilst maintaining accurate records.
  • To work as part of a team as well as lone working within the community as needed.
  • Work with allocated individuals as their keyworker.
  • Interact and communicate with the people you support in a way that promotes dignity and respect.
  • Support individuals with everyday tasks as required.

What are we looking for?

  • Motivated, honest and approachable individuals who are great at building and nurturing relationships.
  • Experience of providing high levels of care and support to those with learning disabilities in a social care setting.
  • Aspirations to develop skills at support worker level and beyond!
  • Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care is desirable but training will be provided.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential

Bank Support Worker

As a Bank Support Worker, you’ll provide support across our Supported Living Service, Day Service and our Cafés. You’ll be engaging directly with those we support and will make a real difference to individual lives. We support individuals to enable them to engage in sessions, discover and develop skills, abilities and interests, make local community connections and achieve greater independence and fulfilment.

About the role:

  • To support individuals within the cafe meet their personal and professional outcomes through mentoring and teaching new skills
  • Assist individuals with their personal, social and healthcare needs as required whilst maintaining accurate records
  • Provide a safe working environment for all by complying with organisational and regulatory requirements
  • Assist individuals in completing day-to-day household tasks including cleaning and food shopping
  • To work as part of a team but also to lone work in the community as needed.
  • Interact and communicate with the people we support in a way that promotes dignity and respect
  • To act as an ambassador for the Trust when liaising with families, carers and other professionals

What are we looking for:

  • Responsible, motivated, and honest individuals
  • Good communication skills
  • Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social care is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of food hygiene is desirable but not essential

As a Bank Support Worker, you’ll provide support across our Day Opportunities Service. You’ll be working with individuals with learning disabilities helping to engage them in a wide range of sessions, inspiring fun and creativity whilst encouraging independence and leading and allowing individuals to live, happy, healthy and fulfilling lives.

The Role:

  • Supporting individuals to take part in a range of timetabled sessions.
  • Liaising with session leaders
  • Assisting individuals with their personal, social and healthcare needs whilst maintaining accurate records.
  • Supporting individuals to meet their goals and outcomes in health, wellbeing and independence.
  • Working as part of a team as well as lone working within the community as needed.
  • Support individuals with everyday tasks as required.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience of working in a social care setting
  • The ability to work calmly and professionally whether alone or, as part of our friendly team!
  • The essential capability to build a rapport with colleagues, volunteers and the families and carers of the people we support.
  • Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential.
  • Due to the nature of the role a car driver with access to your own vehicle and willingness/ability to drive a mini-bus, is desirable.

Our team is passionate about supporting children’s individual hobbies, needs, and skills whilst making meaningful memories. We are looking to recruit dynamic, innovative, caring, and experienced Children’s Support Workers to join our growing team.

Mayfield Lodge and Rainbow Lodge are unique 3 and 2 bedroom children’s homes in Bournemouth, supporting children with learning disabilities, Autism and or other behavioural needs. We are dedicated to making them feel safe, not just in their homes but also in the surrounding areas.

What we offer our Children’s Support Workers:

Qualified Children’s Support workers:

  • Support workers with a completed Level 3 in residential childcare £12.45 per hour
  • Additional sleep-in shifts available paid at £63 per night

Non-Qualified Support workers

  • Support workers without Level 3 basic rate of pay from £12.15ph for Support Workers
  • Additional sleep-in shifts available paid at £63 per night

Full Shifts are typically 7am to 7:30am. You may be required to cover a full shift or part of a shift.

As a Children’s Support Worker you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as a corporate parent to care for, support and meet the needs of the children
  • Cooking, cleaning, assisting with homework and participating in activities
  • Safeguarding and promoting welfare of children
  • To ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard
  • Supporting Children and young people with appointments/health checks

The home will use a therapeutic approach and will use the PACE model of parenting in order to support our children and young people who have experienced trauma and difficulties. Therefore, experience working with children in a support setting is essential.

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 1 year experience working with Children
  • Full driving licence
  • NVQ Level 3 in residential childcare (or equivalent)
