Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Bar Associate to join our team at Munch Box Pub in Ripley. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, a friendly personality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Bar Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a memorable and enjoyable visit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and serving guests promptly and courteously.
  • Drink Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company standards and guest preferences.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including restocking supplies and ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
  • Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash and card transactions, ensuring all sales are recorded correctly.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, including responsible alcohol service.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
  • Upselling: Promote and upsell food and drink items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: Previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
