Double Puc Cafe is a friendly independent cafe based in Bristol . This role will be based at our new location within Wake the Tiger.

Our approach to hospitality is friendly, warm and personal. Our ethos around food and coffee is high quality, freshly prepared and well presented food and speciality coffee.

Summary of Position

As Cafe Barista, you will lead on the running of the front of house cafe area in terms of customer experience and friendly team culture. You should have a good eye for detail in terms of making the Front of House Cafe area look fantastic and have a passion and talent for making delicious coffee.

You will, with training, have a complete working knowledge of all front of house and back of house systems including Rocket OS (our hospitality operating system)

Hospitality & Service

• To deliver warm and memorable hospitality which makes customers come back for the team just as much as coming back for the food and drink.
• To ensure the smooth running of the days service, from making sure that dishes are going out to a high quality of ingredients, taste and presentation, to making sure that wait times are reasonable and the team is working in a friendly and efficient way.

Food & Coffee

• Passion for food and coffee and the ability to enthuse others around our product.
• In-depth understanding of our menu and all the correct methods of production and service.
• A sense of confidence and pro active approach to maintaining standards across the menu (food and coffee).
• Ensure that all food and drinks that are served to customers is made to the highest of quality and presentation standards.
• Ability to assist in the kitchen if needed in an emergency.

Oversight & Management

• Help manage workload effectively across the site so that the cafe is calm and prepared, even at high volume periods.
• Delegate effectively so that daily tasks are done to the highest of standards and in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all H&S requirements are met and that Best Practice Methods are adhered to, in order to maintain our 5 star rating.
• Assist in doing accurate and regular stock-takes.

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 16 per week

Job Description

Business is booming at the lake country radio cafe a.k.a lake country coffee house location and we are looking for Permanent Part-time cashier/ server ! Ideally we are looking for 5 days a week from morning 7:00 AM to close 3:00 PM and evenings.

Experience is an asset but full cashier/ server training will be provided to ensure that all of our customers at Cafe continue to get the amazing coffee and service that they have come to expect at our location.

We are looking for staff who can greet and assist our customers with a smile and great attitude to help make their day awesome and who display an affinity for our coffee, core values, and company philosophy.

Tips are very generous and are a solid reflection of the detail and effort put in to our great service to our valued customers.

*What we are looking for in our staff

• Cashier experience is preferred, but full training will be given.
• Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude!
• Ability to follow in house procedures and guidelines
• Must have the ability to work flexible days and schedules – (we are looking for 7 days a week from morning 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and eventually the plans are to open long hours with options to serve evening with entertainment scene)
• Cash handling and daily closing experience an asset
• Great work ethic and ability to keep busy and multi-task
• Current food safe certificate or in process of getting it
• Assisting in light food prep
• Works well as a team or independently
• With experience and training, you would have the potential to take on more responsibilities
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
