About You

We are looking for a Carpenter to work alongside our existing team of professional carpenters across London who cut, assemble and install MDF & Veneer MDF bespoke fitted furniture according to our customer specifications.

Job Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working in residential, historic or commercial properties.
  • Reading blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements and specifications.
  • Confirming measurements and preparing the site for installations.
  • Working with the design team to resolve any issues prior to installations.
  • Installing fitted furniture including alcove shelves, cabinets, radiator covers and wardrobes.
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, team members and other tradesmen in the completion of project on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Full clean driving licence and the ability to drive a L2/H2 van required.
  • Proven experience as a carpenter or similar role (ideally minimum 2 years).
  • Knowledge of building and construction practices.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use and maintain carpentry machines, power tools and hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, diagrams and drawings.
  • Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • A good understanding of and applying health and safety standards at all times.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems is a plus

Pay

  • Self-employed pay is competitive and subject to experience. Up to £300/day.

Location

  • London and surrounding areas.
  • Your location should ideally be in (or you should be willing to relocate to) West London, where our material supplier is based and where materials will need to be collected every morning durng a working day.

Hours

  • Flexible, usual hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm and sometimes Saturday too.
  • We are open to explore part time as well as full time opportunities.
