Job Summary:

The core responsibilities of this specific role will be reviewing and quality assuring information within the BIM (Building information Modelling) Team, supporting the CAD and Asset deliverables from the supply chain, design team, and other sources. The role will involve ensure CAD and document data is compliant with the clients BIM and Asset Information requirements and supporting the achievement of this across the project as necessary.

Your role will be a key part of the BIM/Information Management Team with opportunity to work and develop alongside the specialist in this field and a Centre of Excellence while supporting the delivery of a major infrastructure project. The role is project based with opportunity to expand your knowledge and skill set within a multidisciplinary surrounding.


Key responsibilities
:

  • Quality check and assure BIM 3D models
  • Help manage and support Supply Chain with BIM issues
  • Convert and assure CAD data from other software packages
  • 3D model and drawing creation
  • Manage and review the drawing deliverables register with sub-contractors
  • Regularly report progress and status to BIM Lead and Management Team
  • Responsible as part of the BIM team for raising awareness, education and training in the BIM process and tools.
  • Providing responses to technical questions, requests for information, and communicating technical information to non-technical staff
  • Assuring all latest data is captured and present within the iTwin shared model platform.
  • Assuring the level of Primary Asset, Asset Element and Element component granularity applied to the models fit within our LOgD, LOmD, and LOml required for RIBA stage 4 design.
  • Aide and provide BIM guidance to the MDJV engineering teams where necessary.


Qualifications, Certifications and Experience:

  • Experience of CAD/BIM within an engineering or multi-disciplinary project
  • CAD qualification or professional experience


Technical Competencies:

  • Good working knowledge of CAD production software (Autodesk/Bentley)
  • Good understanding of PW workflows and model lifecycle
  • Experience of managing technical information in a complex environment
  • Experience of technical information production within the construction and rail sectors
  • Experience of liaising directly with supply chain, designer partners, and third parties
  • Good working knowledge of Bentley Software Suite (ProjectWise, OBD)
