Job Description

Main purpose of the role

· Accountable to the Lead Coatings Manager for collating information regarding painting and blasting evolutions and the maintenance of a resource profile to meet the project(s) schedules.

· Schedules and assigns resources in conjunction with the Operations Manager/Lead Manager Painting for project specific painting activities.

· Liaises with the Commercial Department for Tender Submissions/RFQs/Paint Orders.

· Liaises with paint suppliers, manufacturers, chemists, and other industry experts to determine the most effective materials and methods for paint work within Devonport as directed by the Lead Manager Painting.

To maintain the competency and capability of the painting staff by highlighting training requirements

KEY DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

RESPONSIBILITY WILL INVOLVE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO: –

· Responsible for accurately creating Risk Assessments and Method Statements in line with all KEAFER operational and Health and Safety procedures, to support the Safe enablement of works Assisting with reviewing tender documentation, with the commercial team to ensure effective and accurate estimating for jobs,

· Responsible for ensuring Supervisors following employee absence, conduct return to work interviews and operate within company policy and procedures.

· Responsible for monitoring employee attendance and timekeeping to allow accurate and timely completion of payroll information.

· Assisting with the monitoring and planning of Coatings equipment inventory (Asset Register)

· Accountable for ensuring the Goschen Yard Blasting processes/schedule are maintained/Updated and be the point of contact for project SSE.

· Accountable for keeping updated on all new Trade specific legislation and HSE guidelines and ensuring that any safety legislation is cascaded through the Coatings and Blasting Team.

· Accountable for collating technical information regarding issues that may affect the quality of the final product and liaise with relevant Operation Managers/Lead Manager Painting and Quality Department (Painting).

· Accountable for ensuring that Supervisors provide Daily Reports and Resource information as required by the Senior Management and Commercial Team,

· Assisting with the onboarding process where required though the inputting of information for the induction process, various site induction requirements for all new coatings operatives,

· Ensuring that the KAEFER safety culture is embedded within all of their actions at all times.

· Proactive and looking for safety and innovation improvements that best support the coatings and Blasting operational team,

· Maintaining Effective and Clear communication within KAEFER on any safety and health issues

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS.

LIAISE WITH: –

Externally: – Client Technical Authority, Client Permit departments, Client Health & Safety, Client Project Teams

Internally: – Devonport site functions, – Scaffolding, Composite, Health and Safety, HR.
