Business Support Apprentice

18-month FTC

Are you looking to gain real life exposure to the professional world? Would you like to gain experience working within the legal industry whilst working towards your Level 3 Business Administration qualification?

Kings Court Trust are looking for a Business Support Apprentice to join us and support us in delivering our award-winning estate administration service to our clients.

What you’ll be doing

· Sorting, scanning and distribution of all incoming post, together with the franking and sorting of all outgoing post.

· Scanning of general documents, certificates, grants and cheques.

· Filing of documentation, ensuring filing systems and accurate records are maintained.

· Will storage management including requests for Will retrievals, storage of Wills, and Will Writer correspondence.

· First point of contact for Partner system queries for Will storage and problem solving in relation to Will retrieval queries.

· Liaising with clients and partners via phone.

· Creation of, and administration surrounding, renunciations.

· Updating case management system and inputting new enquiries.

· Creating Power of Attorneys/Letters of Authority on new estates.

· Carrying out Land Registry checks.

· Carrying out administrative support for the Sales department.

· Studying towards your Level 3 Business Administration qualification.

The ideal candidate

We understand you may not have all of the below skills or experience, but we would encourage you to apply if you have some of the below:

· 5 x GCSE’s including Maths and English at grade 4/C or above

· Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail

· Problem solving skills

· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

· A good working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite

· Integrity, honesty, attention to detail and can-do attitude.

· Willingness to learn, embrace change and process improvements and to understand the operation of a growing business.

Salary – £ 20,800.00 per annum, depending on age and experience.

About the role
During your apprenticeship within the Cambridge branch your main duties will be supporting the team with quotations, viewing reports, downloading, and updating invoices, involved in meeting minutes, moving jobs through on MCM, ensuring all documents are up to date on MCM and general administration office work. Another part of the role will be learning the rest of Facilities Management, seeing what hard and soft services do. We will encourage you to get involved in projects.
Accountabilities:
  • Receiving inbound calls from customers/service users
  • Sending and responding to email communication
  • Logging and investigating repairs.
  • Completing assignments – apprenticeship. (2 hours a day provided towards working on assignments)
  • These assignments will be customer service based and will often where possible relate to the work they are currently doing within their job role.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday – 40 Hours Per Week
Role Criteria:
  • Functional skills in both Math’s and English
  • The ability to learn and develop a thorough knowledge of the skills, technology and safety procedures required to carry out the full range of tasks
  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to understand and interpret work instructions
  • Be able to establish and maintain good customer/client relationships
