What your Day might look like:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational needs and budgetary requirements.
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery speed.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favourable pricing and payment terms.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and monitor supplier performance.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
- Analyse and manage procurement budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and value improvement.
- Develop product specifications after-market Analysation & stay updated with modern trends.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services.
- Monitor market trends and conditions to identify potential cost savings and supply chain efficiencies.
- Lead and manage the procurement team to ensure timely and accurate procurement activities.
- Ensure staff adherence to established processes and procedures.
- Perform job specific tasks in compliance with applicable Regulations, International Standards, and company Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Manage procedures and ISO management related to purchasing and quality control.
- Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work
- Forecast procurement needs and plan purchases accordingly.
- Work closely with other departments such as production, logistics, and finance to ensure alignment of procurement activities with company goals.
About you:
- Proven experience as a Buying/Sourcing Manager or in a similar role within the industry.
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain management and procurement processes.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
