About Us:
We are a vibrant café serving delicious breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dessert options in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Café Chef to take ownership of running the café, manage supplier relationships, and contribute to creating innovative recipes that delight our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Café Operations: Oversee day-to-day kitchen and café operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and consistency in food preparation and service.
- Recipe Development: Create, test, and implement new recipes for the café menu, keeping it fresh, seasonal, and aligned with customer preferences.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality ingredients and products.
- Menu Planning: Design and update menus, considering trends, customer feedback, and profitability.
- Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Food Quality & Safety: Uphold the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety in compliance with health regulations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, minimize waste, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Customer Experience: Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure an excellent dining experience for all customers.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a café chef, head chef, or similar leadership role in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating unique and appealing recipes.
- Knowledge of supplier management, inventory control, and cost optimization.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in managing a café or similar establishment.
- Familiarity with modern food trends, especially in breakfast, brunch, and dessert offerings.
- Creativity and adaptability to develop a menu that stands out in the market.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
