We have an excellent career opportunity for the role of Care Assistant to join our team here at Kirklands Care based at our Kirklands Care Home in Cockermouth.

Pay: We have an excellent pay rate of £12 an hour for people without NVQ level 2 and £12.60 an hour for people with NVQ level 2 or above.

Contract: We can offer you either days or nights, we have either part time or full-time roles available. Full time 36 hours = 3 days per week and part time is 24 hours = 2 days per week

Shift patterns:

  • Day shift is 6.45am to 19.15pm
  • Early shift is 6.45am to 13.00pm

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs, maintaining accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on care.
  • Support mobility and personal hygiene, promoting independence where possible.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment.

  • Rate of Pay: In line with the national minimum wage, with increments for NVQ Levels 2 and 3

Job Description

Kelvedon House is seeking enthusiastic care assistant to work at their home.

To assist in the provision of care and work as part of the team to achieve required standards. To ensure Service Users retain their dignity and individuality. To be involved in the general activities of the Care Centre. To maintain a safe and secure environment for Service Users, Staff Members and Visitors.

Shifts to be covered will be 8pm -8am .

The successful candidate will be required to cover shifts on all 3 units within Kelvedon House, as and when needed.

Applicant will be required to have a DBS check. Cost is initially covered by Kelvedon House but will be taken out in installments over 3 months wages.
