MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS & DUTIES

1. Develop and maintain the skills of individuals receiving the service, enabling them to make informed choices by encouraging new experiences and by assisting individuals to access services and activities in the community.

2. Liaise with other professionals in order to support and assist individuals who are tenants to fulfil the obligations of their tenancy and entitlements to welfare benefits.

3. Implement and monitor individuals’ PCPs and support plans in co-operation with the individuals and their circles of support; ensuring plans reflect the REACH standards.

4. Line manage support staff and as appropriate, be involved in their recruitment and selection.

5. Represent the company’s Care in a professional, polite and respectful manner at all times, on the telephone, face-to-face or in written communication.

6. Ensure a professional courteous relationship is always maintained with your peers supporting each other and working as a team.

7. Develop rota, Conduct induction of staff supervision, appraisals, identifying and assisting staff to meet their training needs and acting as a role model / mentor.

8. Promote a culture which reflects a zero tolerance to abuse.

9. Report any safeguarding concerns in line with the Pan London Multi-Agency Adult Safeguarding Policy and Procedures.

10. Ensure compliance against the CQC’s five Key Lines of Enquiry, Target to achieve a minimum rating of ‘good’ during CQC inspections and contract monitoring visits.

11.Effectively manage the service budget, ensuring agency usage is kept within agreed tolerances

We are excited to have partnered one of the UK’s leading care providers!

The position will be part of a brand new care service that they have recently opened, so a truly rare opportunity to really play a key part in the growth and development of the service.

We are open minded to the type of candidate that would suit this role and are therefore considering all of the following types of role:

– Experienced Care Managers
– Deputy Care Managers
– Care Coordinators
– Care Team Leaders

You will ideally need to be a driver and have a minimum level 3 in health & social care (Level 5 would be an advantage!)

Initial training will be provided but you should be able to work on your initiative when required and be self motivated. You will be a team player, an excellent communicator, well organised and able to work under pressure at times.

The main duties;

  • To assist with care referrals coming into the business
  • In conjunction with the Directors, to provide support to all staff members within the group
  • To ensure that all legislation is adhered to as required by CQC and company structure.
  • Attend regular meetings with the leadership team and provide reports as required.
  • To assist with In-house training, managerial supervision and care staff appraisals
  • To assist in monitoring the performance of all care staff and to assist in initiating appropriate action should standards fall below an acceptable level.
  • To assist in ensuring that staff receive on going advice and support to maintain the progressive development of the team.
  • To assist with resolving staff problems
  • To assist with staff disciplinary matters up to and including dismissal.
  • To ensure that all bank care staff are being monitored with regard to utilisation, availability, training, supervision etc.
  • To assist with ensuring that budgetary control is maintained, ensuring that maximum income is maintained and all expenditure is monitored and recorded.

In addition to the above, you may be requested to carry out any other tasks that maybe considered a reasonable request.

Salary is negotiable but we envisage this to be around £33,000 – £36,000 plus some excellent benefits and career development opportunities.

This role is covering 3 schemes and is a Fixed Term Contract until 31st July 2025!

The Registered Care & Support Manager is pivotal to the success of our scheme in Brent. Each customer has unique support needs and individual care requirements. The focus is on them maintaining independent living and achieving social inclusion.

  • You will be responsible for day to day running of the support service we provide
  • Providing an excellent level of customer service and ensuring that all regulatory and contractual commitments are met
  • Manage & lead by example and develop a team to deliver the service to its highest standard


What you`ll need to succeed

To be successful in the role previous experience of working with vulnerable adults to live independently is essential. You will be able to influence the future success of our business and your development. We are therefore seeking individuals with drive and ambition to deliver excellence and support the winning of future business.

As you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory and business requirements you must also demonstrate significant experience within a CQC registered scheme and the associated standards. In addition, you will be effectively managing staff, service budgets and other resources to ensure commercial viability. This should all be evidenced on your CV.
