Job Description

McCarthy Stone are recruiting a professional Care Supervisor to join our team at our Retirement Living Plus development, Gilbert Place in Swindon, Wiltshire.

Built in 2021, Gilbert Place is a Retirement Living Plus development that consists of 65 apartments with the over 70’s in mind, providing excellent on-site facilities and set within beautiful grounds.

Hourly rate: £14.51 per hour day rate and £12.24 sleeping night rate per hour plus earn an extra £1 for every hour worked from midnight Friday to Midnight Sunday.

Hours: 33.5 per week (includes day shifts and sleeping night shifts)

Our day shifts vary between 08:45 and 16:30 or between 16:15 to 09:30.  

Our night shifts are from 21:30 to 09:00am  

Our Care Supervisors sleep between 23:00pm and 07:00am providing emergency support only to our homeowners throughout that period.

Role Highlights:
As a Care Supervisor, you’ll play a crucial role in enabling residents to live independently and actively and you will uphold our commitment to high-quality care. You will support the management of a thriving community of independent older adults, including overseeing the Care and Support team. Your role will include ensuring their safety, coordinating activities, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

About You

  • You are warm, friendly, organised, and self-motivated, with experience in a care or support environment and preferably a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
  • You are eager to take on responsibilities, promote community spirit, and improve the wellbeing of our residents.
