Carpenter/Joiner

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Joiner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, fitting and assembling wood and other materials to construct a variety of structures. The Joiner must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently with a variety of tools. The ideal candidate will also have experience reading blueprints and schematics, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
• Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
• Fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units, using clamps and a variety of hand tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
