Charity Administrator
Job Description
The Charity Administrator will play a key role in the effective running of our charity by providing administrative, financial, and communication support. The role requires excellent organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to supporting the mission of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Duties
· Manage the charity’s administrative functions, ensuring all systems and processes are effective and compliant.
· Maintain accurate records, databases, and filing systems (both physical and digital).
· Provide administrative support for meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and minute-taking.
Financial Support
· Process invoices, expenses, and payments in line with the charity’s financial procedures.
· Assist with budget tracking and preparing financial reports.
· Support the preparation of funding applications and grant management processes.
Communications and Stakeholder Engagement
· Act as the first point of contact for general inquiries, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
· Draft correspondence, newsletters, and other communications for stakeholders, funders, and beneficiaries.
· Support the coordination of events, campaigns, and fundraising activities.
HR and Compliance
· Maintain up-to-date HR records and assist in recruitment and onboarding of staff and volunteers.
· Ensure compliance with charity governance requirements, including Charity Commission and legal obligations.
· Assist with health and safety and safeguarding responsibilities.
General Duties
· Undertake any other duties relevant to the role as required by the charity.
· Work collaboratively with other team members to support the charity’s goals and initiatives.
