We have a CDP position at our Newark works store in Bath.

Working alongside and reporting to the Head Chef, you will be responsible for the daily production of goods, including, viennoiserie, cakes and naturally leavened breads that make up our thoughtful menu.

If you are looking to broaden your skill set, enhance and fine tune the art of Pastry making including some bread production then we would love to hear from you.

We encourage a healthy work life balance so our working patterns are based on a five day, starting from 6:00am or later depending on the specific role.

Role profile:

As a Chef in our culinary team, you will have responsibility to develop and produce meals for first, business and economy class passengers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting a range of dishes
  • Participate in food presentations for our airline customers
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workstation
  • Working in a manner that promotes good health and safety practices
    Working as part of a team in a customer centric environment
  • You will also be required to undertake some manual handling/bending and reaching as part of your normal duties

What you’ll have:

  • Either City & Guilds 706/1 or 2 or NVQ Level 1 or 2
  • Previous catering experience as a Chef
  • Fully knife trained
  • To be very familiar with authentic and conventional, as well as contemporary ingredients, with a detailed knowledge of, and experience in, preparing different cuisines
  • Ability to work on a shift basis including evenings and weekends, with some manual handling/bending and reaching
