The Role:

As our Depute Manager, you’ll be right in the action, helping to lead a brilliant team of childcare professionals. You’ll also work closely with the service Lead Practitioner to make sure everything runs smoothly, from the quality of care to building great relationships with all MACS stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead with Fun & Purpose – Support and inspire a team of fantastic childcare professionals to deliver exciting experiences for children.
  • Ensure Top-Notch Care – Keep things running smoothly by ensuring everything is safe, welcoming, and in line with childcare regulations.
  • Build Strong Relationships – Work closely with parents, guardians, and the community to make sure we’re meeting every child’s needs.
  • Be the inspiration – Help with staff development, training, and making sure the team feels supported and motivated.
  • Drive Quality & Improvement – Be part of the ongoing journey to make our service the best it can be, through feedback, ideas, and a positive attitude.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A SCQF Level 7 in Childhood Practice or similar qualification (or working towards it).
  • At least 2 years of childcare experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
  • Leadership with strength-based approach
  • Knowledge of childcare regulations and a love for working with kids.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with parents, children, and colleagues in a professional yet friendly way.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a focus on teamwork.
  • SSSC registration and PVG check eligibility (we can help with that!).
  • Passion for leading and fostering quality child-led experiences.
  • IT Skills.
  • Effective in problem-solving and change management.

Hours:

  • Part-time position with flexible shifts.
  • You’ll be working during our Breakfast Clubs and After-School Care—exact hours can be discussed.
