Medsolve have a superb opportunity for a Residential Support Worker to provide care and support in a 3 bed children’s home based in Swadlincote.
Salary:
£30,912 – £31,900 (including sleeps) shifts of 1 on and 2 off, working between 9:30am & 11pm plus sleeps paid at £60 plus an extensive benefits package and career progression opportunities.
About the role of Residential Support Worker:
- Contributing to the young person’s care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation.
- Forming effective relationships with young people, their families (if appropriate) and external agencies.
- To ensure the home is kept clean and in a tidy condition, adhere to the cleaning rota system, encouraging the young people to participate as appropriate.
- To ensure that good quality records are maintained as required with supervision and advice from shift and Managers.
- To maintain and promote residential care work to high levels of professionalism expected by Ofsted.
Requirements of Residential Support Worker:
- Experience in a children’s home setting
- Flexibility to work shift patterns (including sleep-in) – rota given in advance but likely to be 1 on 2 off
- Full, UK driving licence
- All candidates must be over the age of 21 to meet regulations
- Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent
- £12 per hour if not level 3 qualified or £12.50 with level 3
