Job Description

Job description

New Year, Fresh Start?

Do you wish for a more intimate work environment rather than being a piece in a large machine?

I am hunting for a Deputy Manager to join an established team in providing exceptional care at this stunning 4-bed, mixed-gendered, Young People’s Residential Home.

This Ofsted-rated *Outstanding* is home to 3 young people, and hoping to home another person very soon. They specialise in EBD and trauma, so experience in this field is desired but not essential, however, experience in the sector and working with young people is crucial.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of our care home, ensuring that all residents receive the highest standard of care. This position requires strong leadership skills but, more importantly, the ability to communicate between both the young people and team members.

Responsibilities

✅ 40-hour working week with an on-call rota: both phone and physical attendance.

✅ Assist the Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

✅ Develop and implement individualised care plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs and preferences.

✅ Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality care, promoting a culture of teamwork and respect.

✅ Facilitate training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and training in children’s residential care.

✅ Engage with residents and their families to provide updates on care progress and address any concerns.

✅ Maintain a safe and clean environment for both residents and staff.

Benefits

⭐ Free food/refreshment

30 days annual leave (inc Bank Holidays)

This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our residents while working within a supportive team environment. If you are passionate about providing exceptional senior care and possess the necessary skills, we encourage you to apply.

If this role doesn’t quite hit all the points you are looking for, feel free to reach out to me, Lewis at Degreesix on the number 0116 464 00 31 and I will happily talk about other roles I am looking for.
