Job Description

Long established Kings Lynn based company operating a fleet of over 30 vehicles are looking for an additional Long Term, on-going Night Hub Driver must have a HGV 1 / C+E UK Licence.

You will be taking a double decker trailer pre-loaded, once you have checked everything is securely strapped and safe, to one of 3 different HUBS, where you are unloaded, park up outside the HUB and wait to be called back in for a re-load to bring back to base.

The hours are not fixed, the start time is 1900 hrs your finish time can vary but you should look to be getting between 55-60 hours per week regularly. This is a long term and on-going position.

Drivers must be aware that once you leave the depot, you do not take any breaks until you have unloaded at the HUB, the client is in the process of replacing vehicles with new units, so you could be driving a new vehicle or an older model.

12 Months minimum UK Driving experience is essential

Pay rate includes holiday accrual

MONDAY TO FRIDAY £18.50 Per Hour

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • MAX 6 POINTS (IN10, DD, DR, DG, CD penalty points are not acceptable)
  • Drivers CPC
  • Digi Card
  • Looking for on-going regular work

Job Description

HGV Class 1 (C+E) License with a minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience.

Job Title: Class 1 Day Drivers

Salary: £62,400 pa Mon to Fri with the ability to increase to £68,640 pa if you work every other Saturday. Salary is paid through PAYE and is INCLUSIVE OF HOLIDAY PAY.

Shift duration: Minimum 12 hours per day.

Our customer is a leading player within the Cargo airfreight industry who have secured a large contract with UK’s largest airline, as such are looking to increase their current workforce. We are looking for drivers who are prepared to be flexible in their approach and are prepared to do long distance driving with frequent overnights, alongside waiting around the horse shoe.

Company Requirements:

  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Valid Driver Qualification (CPC) Card
  • Valid C+E Entitlement with minimum of 2 years experience
  • Maximum 6 points on license – DR, DD or IN conviction codes will not be accepted
  • Full 5 Year employment history with no more than 28-day gaps in employment – You must be able to provide your history using the Government Gateway portal and provide to us in PDF format.
  • DBS dated within the last 10 weeks (not essential as we can assist you in obtaining one)
  • Valid Cargo Operative Certificate Level D (not essential as we can assist you in obtaining one)
  • Dangerous Good Category 8 desired (not essential as we can assist you in obtaining one)
  • Manual Handling training (not essential as we can assist you in obtaining this)
  • Health & Safety Awareness training (not essential as we can assist you in obtaining this)
  • Working at heights awareness training (not essential as we can assist you in obtaining this)
  • Be ok to sit a driving assessment with one of the customers approved driving assessors.
