Commercial Vehicles – General Labourer

Job Description

Munro Commercials is a well-established insurance approved commercial vehicle accident damage repair centre located in Burscough, Ormskirk, Lancashire. We have a vacancy for a general labourer to work on commercial vehicles, including vans, HGV’s, trailers, fridges and tractor units. The vacancy is available for an immediate start.

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Stripping Commercial Vehicles
• Minor and major vehicle body repairs
• Fabrication of commercial body and chassis components
• Fridge trailer body repairs
• Rebuilding
• Trimming
• Responsible for cleanliness and housekeeping standards in own area.

Requirements:

• Experience preferred to be able to work on most vehicles including trailers, tractor units, vans, motorhomes.
• The ability to weld would be advantageous– including stainless and aluminium
• Experience preferred in commercial body building
• To be able to solve body build problems and use own initiative
• Own tools required
• Full UK driving licence required
• Eligibility to work in UK

Salary and Benefits

• Hours : Guaranteed 40 hours per week – 08.00 – 16.30 Monday to Friday.
• Overtime is available, paid at time and a half.
• Flexibility is preferred to work overtime most weeks.
• Holiday: 28 days holiday (Includes statutory holidays) per year.
• Salary: Negotiable, dependent upon experience.
• Pension: Auto enrolment following qualifying period.
• On-site free parking.
