Community Psychiatric Nurse/Occupational Therapist

Job Description

The post is suitable for registered nurses, occupational therapists, with at least 2 years post qualification experience.

You will need to have demonstrated skills and expertise in carrying out a variety of assessments and be able to plan and execute interventions, both with individuals, their careers and groups.

You will need to be clinically confident and competent in working with individuals in community setting and be able to work effectively in a multi-professional context.

You should have collaborative and enthusiastic styles as well as have a passion and commitment to develop and promote mental health service

As well as providing specialist assessment and treatment within the mental Health Together Services (all age), you will be taking a role in the memory clinic providing initial assessments, pre and post diagnostic support and treatment for people being diagnosed with dementia.

The posting is within the community, with contacts being either clinic based or in patients’ own homes.

The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010)
