Construction Associate
Description:
214 is a growing general contractor, property management, and asset management company determined to continue our success by investing heavily in diversified businesses and talented people. As a key member within the construction team at 214 Carson Co. Inc., our Construction Associate is responsible for bringing their broad talents and executing on a diverse set of activities including general construction, equipment operation, and general labouring on our construction sites. We are currently building in the Brant, Hamilton, Norfolk, and Oxford counties.
General Duties:
Your opportunity exists to work within a field team on industrial, commercial, and potentially creative residential projects.
Some of the activities performed:
Carpentry
Concrete cribbing and pouring
Door and hardware installation
Final fit and finish for property turnovers (touch-ups, caulking, painting)
Heavy machine operation of Track Skid Steers and Mini-Excavators
General Labour
Daily reporting and activity monitoring
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position you will possess the following skills, attributes and abilities:
One year construction labouring.
General carpentry skills desirable.
Must possess a valid driver’s license with Class G, with clean abstract
Have own transportation to work and ability to travel within 45 minutes of Paris, Ontario head office
Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
Well organized, independent, and self-managing
Quality focused, high attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities
Job flexibility (must be willing to work beyond boundaries)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 per week

- construction: 1 year (preferred)
