We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Residential / Commercial Conveyancer to join our clients growing team based in the Greater Manchester area!

Our client is a reputable legal firm currently going through a period of exciting expansion looking for their next hire.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be working as part of our clients fast paced conveyancing team responsible for:

  • Managing the legal aspects of residential / commercial property sales, purchases and transfers
  • Prepare and review contracts
  • Transferring deeds
  • Manage / review mortgage documents and related paperwork
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, estate agents, mortgage lends and local authorities
  • Address any legal issues and move to solve as quickly as possible
  • Ensure all the relevant parties are kept up to date in a timely manner
  • Oversee the exchange of contracts, completion of transactions and registration with the land registry.

Hours:

Monday – Friday 09:00 AM – 5:30 PM.

Hybrid working may also be an option for the right candidate, allowing you to work 2 days from home each week should that be required.

Pay:

£45,000 – £50,000 per year, depending on experience.

+ A bonus structure based on company performance.

Experience / qualifications required:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced conveyancer with at least 2 years experience in probate.

You’ll also need to be fully qualified in conveyancing ( Solicitor, CILEX qual or a licensed conveyancer)

Job Description

Morris Homes Limited are looking for a residential/commercial property Solicitor / Licensed Conveyancer to join our in-house legal team.

We are looking for someone who has experience in, ideally, both commercial and residential real estate and who is experienced enough to work with autonomy.

It is a very varied role and, whilst the land acquisitions are dealt with by an external law firm, commercial experience is required so the candidate can collate the information and documentation obtained throughout the acquisition process to enable preparation of the legal documentation for the onward plot sales.

The candidate would also be responsible for all the infrastructure agreements, deeds of grant and sub-station / gas governor transfers in relation to services and any affordable housing sale for that particular development. Training will be given in relation to these commercial aspects of the role where required.

The candidate’s residential experience is required as the candidate will be responsible for the sale of the plots on the developments and also the acquisition and re-sale of any part exchange properties.

There are two regional divisions of Morris Homes, being North and Central, and the in-house Legal team serves both regions.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and committed conveyancer to join our Wolverhampton Branch.

You will be responsible for the following;

  • Managing a caseload involving all aspects of sale and purchase transactions
  • Transfers of equity from instruction through to completion and registration – both registered and unregistered property and both freehold and leasehold estates
  • Remortgage transactions
  • Dealing with matters under minimal supervision

THE REQUIREMENTS

You will have a minimum of three years experience as a residential conveyancing fee earner. You must be confident in dealing with matters under minimal supervision, maintain excellent standards of work and achieve targets. You must possess the following;

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in using case management systems
  • Knowledge of the Conveyancing Quality Scheme and money laundering requirements is essential
