About the role
37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time), Fixed Term until July 2025 in the first instance

- To provide cover supervision for absent teachers’ classes
- To supervise students in their work during the absence of their teacher
- To liaise with Subject Leaders and other teaching staff within the team in which there is an absence where possible, to ensure that instructions are clarified
- To liaise with TAs regarding individual students being supported in any class being covered
- Administer clear instructions to the class, based on the detailed work set and actively supervise students as they are learning

Who we are looking for

- 5 GCSE’s at Grade C or above including Maths and English/ Equivelants
- Be educated to A Level or equivelant in a relevant EBACC subject
- Evidence of experience working with children and in an education setting
- Commitment to and or experience of working with children and young people
- Ability to motivate and encourage children to meet their targets for learning/ behaviour
- Ability to show awareness to when it is appropriate to consult teachers about a child’s behaviour or learning
- Be professional in appearance, punctuality and attendance
- Be willing to be involved with the Academy community
