Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Control Assistant to join our finance team. for an initial 2-month period, with the potential for a short-term rolling monthly extension. The ideal candidate will assist the finance team in managing and improving credit control activities, ensuring that payments are collected promptly and allocated correctly. This role offers the opportunity to assist the team in improving the day to day credit control processes in the dental imaging business.

Duties

  • Monitor and manage outstanding debts from clients within the dental imaging business.
  • Proactively contact customers (via phone, email, and letter) to follow up on overdue invoices and obtain upfront purchase orders.
  • Allocation of bank receipts to outstanding sales invoices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all communications with customers regarding payments.
  • Resolve customer queries relating to billing discrepancies and work closely with the finance team and/or the clinical teams to ensure swift resolution.
  • Assist in the improvement of process notes.
  • Assist with any ad-hoc tasks that may arise related to the finance department.

Professional Skills – Essential Experience:

  • Previous experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role is essential.
  • Experience within the healthcare is advantageous, but not mandatory.

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with a customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with financial software or ERP systems (e.g., SUN Systems) is desirable.

  • Participate in audit where appropriate

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: Up to £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
