Curriculum Manager
Job Description
Curriculum Manager to Lead English and Maths (desirable to have English and/or maths experience)
Full Time – can consider 4 days per week.
Flexible start and finish times.
3 days on site per week (if working 5 days)

- Provide leadership and management as a member of the MAES wider management team to ensure effective management and coordination of teams and programmes of work.
- Lead and manage programme Leaders and tutors in the planning and delivery of a coordinated and responsive programme which meets the needs of residents and supports learners to achieve and progress.
- Provide leadership and management of all activities within the team, with sub contractors and with volunteers that improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment including: self assessment, observation of teaching learning and assessment, moderation and verification processes, ensuring that national quality standards and the requirements of funding bodies are met.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with national bodies, other Learning and Skills providers, partners and stakeholders and represent the service on relevant steering groups and formal partnerships locally and nationally.
- Develop and maintain partnerships to plan and deliver provision which is integrated with other services to support residents into employment.
- Deliver assessment, teaching and learning activities across a range of programmes and deliver professional development to teaching staff.
- Lead ,manage and motivate staff to achieve high levels of performance; ensure that good performance is recognised and rewarded and that poor performance is tackled
- Be responsible for timely and accurate use of data to inform all curriculum planning and annual self-assessment and proactively use service data systems to monitor the effectiveness of all programmes within the curriculum area of learning.
- Lead on the implementation of cross service improvement themes in conjunction with the Quality Improvement Manager and promote good practice across teams.
- Ensure management and control of budgets and expenditure ensuring funds are used to maximum efficiency and ensuring compliance with all City Council Financial Regulations and Standing Orders.

Rate: £40 per hour Umbrella
