As a Demi Chef de Partie for one of London’s most beautiful dining rooms, you will have a vital role in contributing to the chefs and team around you, helping with the day to day kitchen operations and working with incredible produce to create high quality seasonal dishes

About the role:

Kings Food are looking to recruit a Demi Chef de partie to join our busy team on our Strand campus.

Reporting into the Head Chef the successful candidate will have a passion for great quality fresh food and be able to work to a high standard with great attention to detail.

We are looking for an exceptional individual to assist the Head Chef with the daily kitchen operation including both retail and hospitality.

The ideal candidate will:

    Have experience of high-volume catering

    Have excellent attention to detail

    Be able to work independently and under pressure

    Understand food hygiene regulations

    Be highly organised and passionate about food

    Be up to date with current food trends

The contract is offered on a five out of 7 days basis and will involve working evenings and weekends.

This is a full-time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.

About you:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

    Educated to GCSE or equivalent

    Hold a recognised catering qualification

    Experience of working in a catering environment

    Knowledge of food preparation, cooking and portion control

    Knowledge of all food hygiene, health and safety regulations

    Experience of producing a wide variety of food

    Excellent cooking skills

    Experience of working as part of a team

Desirable criteria

We are seeking a creative and passionate Demi Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchen.

You should have cooking experience in a similar or other high standard establishment.

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Catering & Hospitality (Food Preparation & Cooking), or equivalent gained through apprenticeship
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Training on HACCP & COSHH systems
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work when required and adapt to changing methods

And be:

  • Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Accurate, and have good attention to detail

Salary: £26,436 per annum (inclusive of 4% bonus) plus benefits
