Your Responsibilities:

· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice.

Pay: From £35,000 – negotiable dependent upon level of experience

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in financial management, and experience in human resources. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth functioning of the practice while maintaining high standards of patient care and staff satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the dental team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among staff members.
  • Oversee financial management, including budgeting, billing, and accounts receivable to ensure the practice remains profitable.
  • Implement and maintain human resources policies, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as dental industry standards.
  • Manage patient scheduling and ensure a high level of customer service is maintained at all times.
  • Develop and implement practice policies and procedures to improve efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with dental suppliers and vendors for inventory management and procurement of necessary materials.
  • Collaborate with dentists to develop and implement strategic plans for practice growth using a business centered approach.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance the quality of care provided
  • Reception duties

Experience

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a dental practice is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong background in financial management, with the ability to analyse budgets and financial reports effectively.
  • Experience in human resources practices including recruitment, training, and employee relations.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster a positive working environment for staff and an exceptional experience for patients.
  • Proficiency in computer software systems
  • Proficiency at reception duties is required in this dual role and nursing experience would be beneficial, but not entirely essential.

3 days located at Maldent, 1 day in Luton

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental practices and assist in business development. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of financial management, and experience in human resources to effectively manage our team.

Maldent runs as a mixed NHS/private practice, Luton Advanced Dental Care is Private only – the ideal candidate will have experience in both NHS and private dentistry.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of dental staff, ensuring high standards of patient care and service.
  • Assist in business development
  • Manage human resources functions, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of staff members.
  • Oversee financial management tasks such as budgeting, billing, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Implement compliance policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development among staff.
  • Handle patient inquiries and complaints in a professional manner to ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with dental professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality dental services.
  • Co-ordinate various marketing initiatives and online presence of the practices

Previous Dental Practice Manager experience is essential for this role

Salary: £38-45K p/a FTE dependent on experience
