Job Overview
Are you a dental nurse who has a radiography certificate and looking for a different career path? We have an exciting opportunity for you to specialise in dental radiography at our Altrincham imaging centre.
You will be part of an experienced and distinguished team at Dental Scan, led by an enhanced practitioner radiographer, delivering a high quality, efficient and effective dedicated imaging service using the latest in X-ray technology.
This job involves evening and weekend work as well as occasional travel to London to support the clinical team when needed.
Main Duties of the Job
- Be an Operator under IR(ME)R 2017 taking OPG, Cephalometric and CBCT X-ray examinations to a high standard under local protocols.
- Undertake digital impressions using an iTero intraoral scanner to a high standard.
- To prioritise patients to ensure optimum efficiency and service quality.
- Assess the physical, mental and communication needs of individual patients and respond appropriately.
- Ensure professional practice, and that of the service, is maintained and extended through participation in Continuous Professional Development.
- Participate in quality assurance and audit.
- To assist with reception and administrative tasks.
- To take on additional responsibilities.
- To understand and abide by the “Standards for the Dental Team” issued by the General Dental Council (September 2013).

Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Diploma, Certificate or Foundation Degree in Dental Nursing
- Certificate in Dental Radiography
- GDC Registration
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
Desirable criteria
- CBCT Level 1 training
Experience
Essential criteria
- Participation in quality assurance and audit
- Experience in dental radiography
Desirable criteria
- Experience of digital impressions scanning
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
- Good understanding of the legislation relating to the post
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent IT skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,397.00-£29,000.00 per year
