Medsolve are proud to be working with a client who are recruiting for a Children’s Home Deputy Manager.

This is a permanent role.

My client offers a rate: Circa £37,600

They specialise in supporting Children and Young People who have suffered early life trauma, neglect or abuse and may display challenging behaviours.

The role of the Deputy Manager:

  • To lead the team to deliver high quality care to our young people
  • To ensure that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures.
  • To review the young people’s care plans and other associated documentation
  • To act as an advocate for the young person whilst using a positive parenting model
  • To work with young people using positive support strategies including de-escalation tools and techniques using in-house training (PRICE)
  • To provide support to the Manager in order to complete day to day tasks
  • To run the home in the absence of the Manage
  • To complete on-call duties as and when required

The requirements of the Deputy Manager:

  • Must have a full manual driving licence
  • Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • Must be prepared to complete Diploma Level 5 Children’s Residential Care
  • To participate in further continuing professional development support the needs of our young people
  • To be open minded, empathetic in a calm and professional manner
