Deputy Nursery Nurse
Job Description
The Room based deputy nursery practitioner Leading the babyroom will be responsible for helping young children to develop essential early years skills during this vital period of childhood development 0-5 years .
They will be responsible for the safety of the children in their care, their continued motivation, enjoyment and education.
The main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Encouraging young children to enjoy learning through in the moment planning and exposure moments.
- Encouraging the development of social awareness through interactions with other children
- Ability to teach a variety of early years topics and subjects, including popular songs and rhymes
- Ability to observe progress and development to prepare accurate reports for parents
- Ability to work with employees of all roles and experiences through offering support, motivating and leading a team.
- Ability to work closely with the nursery Manager and quality co coordinator
- Ability to understand the needs of young babies, children and their parents
- Knowledge of childcare regulations and procedures
Additional Responsibilities (training will be provided)
- Key holder
- Nursery SENCO
- Covering managerial duties in managers absence
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.45-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
