At McQuaid Engineering Ltd, we are seeking to recruit a highly organised and self-driven Technical & Design Engineer in an exciting new position within our Team.

Job Title: Design & Technical Engineer Junior – Intermediate Level

Location:Dungannon, Co.Tyrone

Hours of Employment: Monday to Thursday 7am to 4.15pm and Friday 7am to 1.30pm

Salary:Negotiable

You will be required to fully engage in our design and manufacturing process, using Solid Works and following ISO 9001 standards.

The role will be very rewarding, allowing you to get heavily involved in the development and manufacture of products that incorporates hydraulic and electrical components.

All products are manufactured in-house to ISO 9001 and 3834 Standards. You will experience the product going through the stages of full production including cutting, folding, fabrication, precision machining and assembly, test and finish.

At McQuaid Engineering Ltd we are in control of the high standard of quality in our equipment, designing and manufacturing internal component parts for our units including Items that are precision machined to high tolerances.

Main duties

• Assist with the development and improvement of current and new product lines
• Creation of 3D drawings to meet specific customer needs
• Modelling new products, upgrading and redesigning existing products for improvements
• Compiling and updating Bill of Materials
• Completion of all associated technical documentation including Manuals
• Follow any methods that have been developed to bring products from concept through to production and launch
• Specific project work as directed
• Assist with the needs of the department as required

Experience & Skills

• Experience in the use of CAD Software and a working knowledge of SolidWorks
• Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
• Understanding of design calculations and machine tolerances
• Excellent computer skills
