As a Dessert Maker, you will play a vital role in crafting high-quality desserts that delight our customers and enhance their dining experience. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and create a variety of desserts, including cakes, pastries, and other sweet treats.
  • Ensure all food preparation meets the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Assist in menu planning and development of new dessert recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
  • Upsell dessert options to customers, enhancing their dining experience and increasing sales.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed.

Skills

  • Strong food preparation skills with experience in a restaurant or culinary setting.
  • Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients accurately.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
  • A creative mindset with an eye for detail in dessert presentation.
  • Previous experience in upselling or customer service is advantageous but not essential.
