Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Doggy Daycare Manager to join the Dog Days team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our daycare, ensuring a safe, engaging, and well-organised environment for dogs and staff alike. Your leadership skills, passion for animal care, and management expertise will be vital in maintaining our high standards and delivering exceptional service to our furry clients and their owners.
***This job role is only suitable for those with previous group pet care experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the doggy daycare, ensuring all activities run smoothly and efficiently.
- Supervise, support, and lead a team of pet care assistants to deliver excellent care and service.
- Monitor the safety and well-being of all dogs in our care, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Oversee scheduling, staff rotas, and daily activity plans.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming facility, including overseeing cleaning schedules and hygiene standards.
- Communicate with dog owners, providing updates on their pets and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
- Assist with recruitment and training to build and maintain a strong, capable team.
Experience
- Previous experience in management is essential.
- Experience in pet services or a related field is required.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- A genuine love for animals and a strong understanding of dog behaviour and care requirements.
Role Details
- Hours: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, 4 days per week
- Pay: £13.50 per hour
- Location: Glasgow
