We are recruiting for a Domestic/Laundry Assistant to join our Dovehaven Grove team at Poplar Grove, Bamber Bridge, Preston. You will be required to work 16 hours per week – 12pm – 6pm on a rota basis. Alternate weekend availability is required!

About the Role:

As a domestic you will be responsible for ensuring a clean safe environment is provided for our residents, visitors and staff and be an important part of the team that ensures residents in our care feel valued. Duties will include following a daily schedule for cleaning within the home, hoovering, dusting, polishing, shampooing carpets, mopping floors and any other duties as required.

About You

You will have a caring nature and a positive attitude, showing a desire to deliver the best possible standard of domestic and laundry service to the residents in our care. You will ideally have previous domestic experience and be committed to ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, hygiene and appearance. About the role

Who are we?

About the role

As a Domestic Assistant, you will ensure that public or private spaces within the home are kept neat, tidy, and sanitary. Part of this will be ensuring that all Health & Safety at Work legislation is followed, including all requirements under specific industry Codes of Practice and Environmental Health guidelines.

Job Description

Domestic assistant required for friendly well regarded small care home for the elderly located in Hindley Green, Wigan.

Duties would include all domestic tasks required within a 28 bedded residential and residential dementia care home.

18 contracted hours are available. The role requires at least every other weekend to be worked.

For a flexible person extra hours are available to cover absences and holidays.

Experience is preferred but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
