Drivers Assistant

Job Description

Mattressnextday are currently recruiting a Drivers Assistant, with the right candidate leading on to Driving our 3.5T lo-loader vans. We are based in Whitstable, Kent.

Working Tuesday – Saturday, based on 8 hours shifts. Typical start times between 6am – 8am. Overtime may be required.

Immediate starts available!

Role:

• Predominately working with mattresses and divan bases, moving up to 100kg
• Will be required to load andunload vehicles
• Delivery to residential and commercial premises
• Multi drop work
• General assistance to the driver, including looking up property details and parking availability on Google maps
• Updating ePOD on delivery status
• Good communication skills and telephone manner as required to phone customers with ETAs

Candidates must be physically fit for the role and reliable, with a positive attitude and work ethic.
