1-800 Radiator & A/C seeking a Delivery Driver / Warehouse Assistant to join our team. The right candidate should be a positive individual, a team player, and have a great attitude – the rest we can teach, but we can’t teach a great attitude! The position could result in the development and promotional opportunities for the ideal candidate.

Ideal Candidate:

· A team player, someone willing to step in and help out in all tasks and works well with others

· Willing to learn and has a positive attitude to work

· Excellent communication skills

· Clean driving record, a driver’s abstract will be required prior to hire

· Previous warehouse experience is an asset

· Previous delivery driver experience is an asset

Primary Responsibilities:

· Delivering parts (company vehicle) to customers in the local area and assisting in everyday warehouse duties.

· Picking orders

· Assist to load and unload trucks and containers

· Assist to move and stacking materials

· General housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and duties as assigned

Morrells Woodfinishes are a market leading British company originating from 1902 specialising in high performance wood finishes, with a significant European brand profile and reputation as part of RPM International Inc. We develop, manufacture and distribute a full range of high-performance wood finishes as well as offering a bespoke colour-matching service for paints, stains and tinted lacquers.

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated candidates to join the business as a Driver/Warehouse Operative on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

  • Load and deliver goods to customers accurately and in accordance with the Delivery paperwork
  • Ensure all delivery paperwork is signed, printed and dated correctly
  • Unload van on return to Branch
  • Keep the fuel card safe and only use for van fuel, oil and AdBlue where applicable
  • Stand in for Branch Supervisor as required
  • Accurately pick orders from local Branch Stock
  • Ensure that the warehouse is clean and tidy and remains a safe working environment at all times
  • To be flexible and be available for cover in other areas if required

Duties

  • Accurately control the stock at branches and assist in 100% stocktaking each month
  • Make sure that the Goods Left Off from deliveries does not exceed the target percentage
  • Make sure that the branch is secure and safe and that all goods and cash are kept in a safe place
  • Make sure the branch is kept clean, tidy and safe
  • Make sure that the goods received are checked against delivery paperwork and any discrepancies are reported immediately
  • Make sure that the best route is used to keep fuel consumption low whilst delivering to all customers on time
  • Make sure that the Van is maintained in accordance with the servicing schedule and that the correct ADR and PPE equipment is carried at all times
  • Ensure all daily duties are carried out in accordance with the Morrells ORRP document
  • To remain correctly dressed and present a smart professional image to the customer at all times
  • To carry out any other reasonable tasks as required

Pay: From £23,795.00 per year
