Lindley CE Infant School is a high achieving and popular school. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated educational suppport assistant to join our committed and friendly team of happy and hardworking staff and children. Applicants must be able to demonstrate previous experience of working in a school environment, supporting the learning of pupils in EYFS and KS1, and building positive relationships with children and colleagues. One post is to work Mornings only as general classroom support. The second post is SEND support every Morning with support throughout Lunchtime. Both are to commence in January 2025.

The successful applicant must be hard working, organised and versatile. You will need to demonstrate a clear dedication for engaging and inspiring children, and a commitment to maintaining the Christian ethos of the school.

The children, staff and Governors wish to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced 1:1 SEND Educational Support Assistant into our school community to play a key role supporting the needs of a specific pupil in Year 1.

Experience of the following statements would be desirable, although relevant training will be provided:

Have experience with Use of a Total Communication Approach to enable pupils to communicate their needs and preferences effectively, when verbal communication is challenging. For example; objects of reference/talking mats.

Have some experience of implementing an intensive interaction approach to support the development of social communication skills in pupils who have a diagnosis of Autism or complex learning difficulties.
