The Opportunity

We’re seeking an Electrical Estimator with a proven track record of accurately estimating residential, commercial, and green energy projects. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for residential, commercial and green energy projects, including labor, materials, and timelines.
• Follow up on quotes with a focus on achieving an exceptional close rate and securing new business.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners.
• Conduct site visits to gather job requirements and ensure accurate scope development.
• Coordinate project schedules, material procurement, and change orders with field teams.
• Support bonding, insurance documentation, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Leverage industry knowledge to identify new opportunities and inform clients about 1st Electric’s services.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Red Seal electrician and as an electrical estimator.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Aurora, Accubid, etc.) and reading blueprints.
• Strong understanding of electrical and construction codes, techniques, and project workflows.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$120,000.00 per year

• electrical: 10 years (required)
• electrical estimating: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Electrician Licence (required)
• Driving Licence (required)

Willingness to travel:

• 75% (required)
