Job Description

Job Summary:

The electromechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing elevating platforms and Swing motors. They must ensure that the equipment is kept safe and in good working order.

Key Requirements and Skills:

• High school diploma.
• Training in the repair of small electrical tools, hydraulics, or mechanics (an asset).
• At least one year of experience in a relevant field (training from Tractel, Hydro-mobile, Fraco is an asset).
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy loads and work outdoors.
• Ability to work at heights.
• Problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and logical thinking.
• Dexterity, attention to detail, and precision.
• Willingness to travel to different job sites.
• Good interpersonal skills, courtesy, and professionalism.
• Patience, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
• Any combination of education and experience deemed relevant will also be considered.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Repair elevating platforms, transformers, and hydraulic machines of the Fraco type.
• Repair and maintain elevating platform mast motors.
• Repair and maintain the motors of flying scaffolds as well as the safety mechanisms and winches.
• Prepare orders for customers.
• Inspect equipment upon return of the flying platforms to ensure there are no damages and that the equipment is safe. If defects are found, remove the equipment, send it to the welding department, and discuss it with the supervisor.
• Adhere to safety regulations and perform work safely at all times.
• Handle service calls at job sites.
• Ensure that work areas are kept clean and organized at all times.
• Maintain tools, work equipment, and accessories in clean condition.
• Report any equipment failures, material defects, or issues with components to the supervisor.
• Use the correct tools and accessories when performing tasks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
