Elevator Interior Technician/Installations

This role requires regular travel to customer sites covering the South of England, Central London & Midlands. Company office is based in Nottinghamshire.

The KAPOK 88 Installations team is a key part of our unique service to our UK customers.

KAPOK 88 has been manufacturing Elevator Interior Protection for over 35 years, we are the leading specialist. As part of our one-stop-shop service, our Installation team attend customer sites/buildings around the UK, measuring and surveying the interior of lifts/elevators taking all the necessary measurements and at times advising our customer on the best type of fixing, so we can manufacture our product. In addition, the Technician may install the interior wall fixings during the site visit.

As an Elevator Interior Technician you will:

  • Be on the road travelling to customer sites 4 days a week across the southern part of the UK, including all London and Midlands regions.
  • Interact with our customers throughout the week either on site or over the phone/email making arrangements for site visits, discussing orders.
  • Spend one day a week in the office completing order paperwork, arranging future site visits, planning your route for the next week, emailing customers, progressing orders.

The right person for this job:

  • Has performed a similar role.
  • Is happy to work alone each day & spend regular nights away from home when necessary but will ideally live in the south of the UK to reduce the amount of nights away.
  • Will accept this is not a standard 9-5 role, flexibility with hours is a must, but your working hours will be balanced fairly across the week.
  • Is happy to drive long distances to sites, covering multiple sites in one day.
  • Is able to accept that days don’t always go to plan, requirements change and you’ll need to react professionally.
  • Accepts the necessity to work safely and considerately on customers sites.
  • Is able to take accurate measurements and document their work clearly
  • Has a full clean driving licence.
  • Ideally has a current/valid CSCS card.
  • Current EOR 202N certification (ideal)
