Salary once permanent: £28,000 – £42,000 (lower salary band for candidates not holding QTS)

A Specialist school in Towcester area are looking for an English Teacher to work with students aged 8-18 with Aspergers. You must be able to support these students and be able to manage very challenging behaviours at times.

This role will be term time only and candidates must have relevant experience, for example working in SEND or SEMH schools/with SEND students.

Candidates must be ready to start work ASAP and be able to work 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday.

Experience in an alternative provision, SEMH school or residential setting where challenging behaviours/ SEND have been dealt with, is the type of professional working background the school are looking for.

The candidate needs to…

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Desirable
  • Have experience teaching English in the UK
  • Have experience with children or young adults (essential)

  • Be able to work with and support SEMH pupils
  • Manage teaching assistants within the classroom
  • Be friendly and highly resilient

  • Be able to provide relevant references to comment on the relevant skills for this role
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills, or be willing to learn
  • Support young adults who may require 1:1 support
  • Build great relationships with staff and children

A Specialist school in Stamford area are looking for an English Teacher to work with KS3 students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health. You must be able to support these students and be able to manage very challenging behaviours at times. All students have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

This role will be term time only and candidates must have relevant experience, for example working in SEND or SEMH schools/with SEND students.
