Job purpose

This Business and Administration Modern Apprenticeship would suit a recent school or college leaver. This is an early entry career opportunity to learn and train in our business processes.

The role is designed to provide comprehensive training and hands-on experience in the insurance industry. The apprentice will learn about various insurance products, customer service techniques, and sales strategies while working under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Interaction: Assist in handling customer inquiries, providing information about insurance products, and addressing customer concerns.
Sales Support: Support the sales team by preparing quotes, processing applications, and following up with clients.
Policy Management: Help manage and update customer insurance policies, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Training and Development: Participate in training sessions and workshops to gain knowledge about insurance products, industry regulations, and sales techniques.
Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and maintaining records.

What will I learn?

You will learn how to thrive in a busy office environment, how to work with our bespoke IT Systems and gain confidence in your role in the business. You will learn how to communicate in a busy office environment and customer service skills.

What qualifications or qualities are required?

  • Self-motivated with an appetite for continued learning and development.
  • Highly customer focused, with customer service work experience desirable.
  • Computer literate along with accurate and speedy keyboard skills.
  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Educated to Higher Level preferred
  • National 5 qualifications (Absolute) & 2 Highers (Preferred).
  • Maths or English must be present.

· Liaising with finance to process invoices
· Adhering to strict code of confidentiality at all times.
· Scheduling Nurse Digital timetables
· Client contact and taking bookings
· Directing patients to the correct clinics

Job Description

Job purpose

An exciting apprenticeship opportunity has arisen to join a growing organisation. We provide a range of services to Councils across the UK including seminars, advice, training, benchmarking and knowledge sharing. This role allows the right candidate to receive training in business support functions to support our team in Scotland.

Reporting to our Scotland Principal Advisor, you will work within the team to help with their work.

Responsibilities (with appropriate training) include:

· Able to assist in administrative duties around event planning

· General office duties including monitoring stock, ordering supplies and general administrative tasks

· Maintaining accurate information on the website

· Providing customer service to a wide range of people, both internal and external to the association

· Attend events to assist with set up, liaising with venues and co-ordinating with venue staff on the day.

· Maintaining accurate records on the data base

· Assist with financial duties.

Qualification:
This role will lead to SCQF 6 business administration qualification
