THIS ROLE IS DESIGNED FOR A RECENT SCHOOL OR COLLEGE LEAVER LOOKING FOR THEIR FIRST FULL TIME JOB.

Job purpose

In this role, you will start in the office, learning about our customers, products and services.

Duties include –

  • Interaction with customers and suppliers and via telephone and email,
  • Filing of various documentation,
  • Control of documentations through scanning and filing systems,
  • PC work including stock entry via AS400
  • PC work updating documentation via micro soft based files,
  • Interaction with goods inward drivers.

Once you have completed your Business and Administration Course Work, you will move full time into the warehouse. The purpose of this role is to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled to the highest standards in a fast-paced environment. Specific tasks could include:

  • Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large item
  • Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own.
  • Transferring stock to its location using a Forklift trucks and cranes. No previous experience required as training will be provided.
  • Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
  • Maintain high levels of Health and Safety at all times
  • Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements.

On completion of your first year we offer a starting salary of £30,000 per year.

What will I learn?

You will learn about our products, our customers and day to day running of a large steel holder. You will learn about health and safety in the warehouse, communication and how to manage your workload.
