Evening Cleaning Supervisor

Job Description

We are a local cleaning company, providing five-star cleaning services to commercial and private clients, including offices, apartment blocks and municipal buildings as well as deep cleans and build/sparkle cleans.

We are looking for a super-enthusiastic, confident person to join our friendly team as an evening Cleaning Supervisor. This is a permanent position and we are looking for someone ambitious to commit to helping our company grow long-term. You will need to have proven commercial cleaning experience or proven supervisory experience with great references. This is a hands-on role so you will need to show you can clean to a very high standard, but full training will be given.

If you like routine then this is not the job for you! We are looking for someone who copes well with changing schedules to suit our clients and thrives on being a problem solver. No two days are the same! You must be able to drive to cover several different sites in and around Truro.

HOURS MON to FRI 5pm-8.30pm approx

additional hours available at the weekend/some daytimes if required

You will be required to undertake and oversee the detailed regular cleaning of client premises and ensure that our standards are kept very high. You will be responsible for encouraging the team and ensuring that all staff members are not only cleaning with a great eye for detail but that they are all happy and understand exactly what is expected of them.

You will be provided with a crew van to deliver cleaners and equipment to job sites and to restock all our client’s consumables.

• Truro, Cornwall

About the Role:

• Working 5 days out of 7 and extra hours available if required. Approx 3-4hrs per shift
• We require flexibility to cover holidays and sickness so be prepared to muck in with the team!
• We can also be flexible with you, and work around appts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the cleaning is completed to the highest standards at all times
• Maintain Health and Safety standards at all times
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored correctly
• Stock control – on consumables, cleaning products and cleaning equipment to maintain levels available to our cleaners
• Deal with any client requests promptly and politely
• Work to agreed time allocations for each job given
• Providing training to new and current cleaners as required
• Delivering equipment and cleaners to work sites and ensuring they have everything they need to complete their work to perfection!

Essential Requirements:

Previous cleaning experience –

• Supervisory: 1 year (required)
• Cleaning: 1 year (required)
• You will need a full, clean drivers licence
• A calm multi-tasker who works well under pressure
• Cleaning is a skill – your attention to detail must be second to none!
• We need you to be able to work alone, but also work well as a part of our team
• We like our employees to have an excellent attitude to attendance and timekeeping
• Great communication skills with clients and cleaners alike
