Experienced Head Door Supervisor

We are seeking a highly experienced and professional Head Door Supervisor to lead and manage the security team at our busy and vibrant club. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management: Oversee and lead a team of door supervisors, ensuring effective deployment and coverage throughout the venue. Provide guidance, support, and training to team members.
- Rota Management: Responsible for creating and managing the weekly rota for the door supervision team. The role requires flexibility, as hours can vary and may include working up to 6 days per week, particularly during busy periods.
- Security & Safety Management: Ensure the safety and security of patrons, staff, and the venue. Monitor entry and exit points, control access, and manage crowd control during busy periods.
- Conflict Resolution: Handle any difficult or disruptive situations with professionalism and discretion, including managing intoxicated or unruly individuals. Defuse tense situations while maintaining a calm and authoritative presence.
- Venue Compliance: Ensure all entry procedures adhere to legal requirements, including age verification (ID checks), capacity limits, and security protocols.
- Communication & Reporting: Liaise with venue management, emergency services, and the security team to ensure smooth operations. Report any incidents or security breaches promptly and accurately.
- Health & Safety: Oversee health and safety measures, including emergency evacuation procedures and first aid responses where required. Ensure all staff are aware of and comply with safety protocols.
- Customer Service: Represent the venue in a professional and approachable manner, ensuring that all patrons feel welcome and safe.
- Monitoring: Conduct regular patrols of the venue and surrounding areas to prevent potential issues and identify any security risks. Utilize CCTV and other security tools as needed.
- Incident Reporting: Maintain accurate records of incidents, expulsions, and any security breaches in line with the venue’s policies.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of [3 years] experience in a supervisory or management role in a busy bar, club, or similar environment. Must have direct club experience.
- Licensing: Valid SIA Door Supervisor License is mandatory.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and direct a team under pressure.
- Rota Management: Experience in scheduling and rota management, with flexibility to adjust hours based on operational needs (up to 6 days a week).
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate conflicts and manage difficult situations.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and capable of handling the physical demands of the role, including standing for long periods and responding quickly to incidents.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve conflicts efficiently and tactfully.
- Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Preferred Skills:
- First Aid Training: Certification in first aid or willingness to undergo training.
- Knowledge of Local Regulations: Familiarity with relevant licensing laws and regulations regarding nightlife and venue security.
