The Opportunity – Family Law Solicitor

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Solicitor to join our talented legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career with a firm that consistently strives for excellence and client satisfaction.

You will become part of a diverse team of over 100 professionals, all driven by a shared passion for exceptional client care. McEwan Fraser Legal operates seven days a week to provide unrivaled service, and we are happy to consider both full-time and part-time flexible working arrangements to accommodate a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice and representation in all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, and financial settlements.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Draft legal documents such as divorce petitions, financial agreements, and child arrangement orders.
• Maintain accurate records and manage case files efficiently.
• Communicate clearly with clients, keeping them informed of case progress.
• Collaborate with external professionals, such as social workers and financial advisors, to secure positive client outcomes.
• Stay current with developments in family law legislation and best practices.

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor with a valid practicing certificate.
• Proven experience in family law within the Scottish legal system.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in IT systems and legal software applications.
• A compassionate and professional approach to client care, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy.
