We have an excellent opportunity available for a finance professional to make a difference at Kraft Heinz.

The Finance Analyst position lies within the UK Trade Investment function. You’ll be working in a high performing team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You’ll be working closely with Sales, so get ready for a lot of exposure to internal senior stakeholders!

Your primary responsibility will be working closely within the Sales Team to ensure every penny of our Trade Spend is accounted for in the forecast & reconciled in the actuals. You’re constantly looking for improvement activities to understand and control our Commercial Balance Sheet for a large set of customers.

In brief, you will be responsible for:

  • Owning and managing the Commercial Balance Sheet
  • Partnering with the Sales Teams to ensure our Forecasting system is accurate with product pricing & promotions
  • Providing visibility in all Balance Sheet movements and variances
  • Ensuring Trade accruals are accurate & understood at period end
  • Identifying issues in Customer deductions and support in resolution

Qualifications

  • Intermediate MS Excel skills (you’ll need to use V-lookups and pivot tables)
  • IT Literacy including experience of Microsoft Office, Windows, Outlook, and Explorer
  • Finance/Economics degree preferred
  • Prior experience/internship in a Commercial/Finance role preferred
  • Prior experience of SAP preferred

Bringing it to the role.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for the reconciliation of our store revenue ensuring that funds are received as expected, investigating and working with our technology team and operations team as required, alongside a team of 2 Finance Analysts. This role is incremental in protecting our companies profit.


What you’ll be responsible for

  • Reconciling data from our aggregator partners: Uber, Just Eat and Deliveroo to company records
  • Reconciling multi-currency cash and card payments received in our company owned restaurants.
  • Complete periodic bank reconciliations across multi-currency bank accounts.
  • Ensuring all accounts are reconciled each period and that Sarbane Oxley requirements are met
  • Manage the in-store cash collection process.
  • Assisting Franchisees with any issues relating to Delivery accounting and working with the Restaurant Reporting Manager to improve processes.
  • Supporting mobile ordering payments and approving daily refunds and quarterly franchisee charging
  • Working with our Operations team to support restaurant incentives for bonuses and team rewards.
  • Supporting the Internal Audit function with the Administrative tasks relating to the financial close system.
  • Ad-Hoc duties to assist the financial control team as required.


What we’d love from you

EXPERIENCE:

  • Part Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or significant accounting experience
  • Experience of Oracle JD Edwards beneficial, however not essential

ABOUT YOU:

  • Enjoy a challenging and fun work environment.
  • Ability to hit reporting deadlines and the manage their own time effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to build relationships with Franchisees.
  • Ability to deal effectively with personnel across all levels of the organization and external suppliers.
  • Strong IT/Systems Literacy, particularly using MS Excel
  • A passion for Systems and Process, and an eye for spotting potential for improvement.
  • A strong and proven desire to build know-how for yourself and for the organisation.
